Dr. Elspeth G. Seddig received a Bachelor of Science from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she was a Double major. Soon after, Dr. Seddig received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2001 from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, along with a Certificate in Homeopathy. Dr. Seddig has a Certificate in Environmental medicine from studying with Dr. Walter Crinnion N.D., which is a big portion of her practice.
She started Pacific Heights Naturopathic Clinic, P.C. in San Francisco in early 2005, at a time when Naturopathic medicine was new to California (state licensing passed in late 2004) and she was among the initial handfuls of NDs in the city. That first practice is now rebranded into AURUM: Naturopathic Medical Alchemy®. Prior to living in the Bay area, Dr. Seddig founded her first medical practice ‘Acadia Naturopathic Clinic’ on the coast of Maine, a practice which she sold yet is still running in its original location but under a new name.
Dr. Seddig is a member of the AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) and the CNDA (California Association of Naturopathic Doctors). She also is a member of NAEM (Naturopathic Academy of Environmental Medicine). Dr Seddig served on the Board of Directors for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA) which increased her awareness of the political and legislative aspects of medicine in California. Dr Seddig has been part of UCSF’s integrative medicine course, teaching medical students about Naturopathic medicine’s place in the greater medical model. She also mentors new ND graduates through a CNDA program. She enjoys working with a full diversity of patients and is passionate about increasing consciousness of Naturopathic medicine.
